RED BLUFF, Calif. - Red Bluff Police officers located a stolen vehicle on Ash and Madison Streets early Wednesday morning. The vehicle had been reported stolen a few days prior, according to police.

During a traffic stop, officers contacted Lorenzo James Arthur Lopez, of Red Bluff, inside the stolen vehicle. Police said Lopez refused to follow the officer’s commands. While being taken into custody, Lopez resisted officers, resulting in a minor injury to one of the arresting officers.

The officers also located items that they say could be stolen items from a separate, unreported burglary.

Lopez was medically cleared and booked into jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property, resisting arrest, and bringing controlled substances into the jail.

The vehicle and the other stolen property was returned to the owner undamaged.
