Rare Sierra Blizzard Warning in Effect

A rare blizzard warning is in effect in the Sierra Region.

RENO, Nev. - A rare blizzard warning is in effect in the Sierra Region.

The National Weather Service says heavy snow may impact traffic Wednesday night. 

Forecasters in Reno predict up to five feet of snow in the upper elevations around Tahoe. 

The blizzard warning runs from 7 p.m. Wednesday night to 7 p.m. Thursday night.
