Rain Showers Tonight

Showers tonight then Clearing Tomorrow

Posted: Dec 9, 2018 10:30 PM

A WEAK COLD FRONT WILL MOVE ONSHORE TONIGHT. AS IT MOVES OVER OUR AREA IT WILL WEAKEN BUT STILL HAVE ENOUGH MOISTURE LEFT TO BRING MOST OF US A BRIEF ROUND OF LIGHT RAIN OR MOUNTAIN SNOW SHOWERS. THE RAIN WILL MOVE IN TONIGHT AND CONTINUE THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING. BUT LATER IN THE MORNING SKIES WILL CLEAR OUT EXCEPT A FEW SCATTERED VERY LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS OVER THE MOUNTAINS. ALL IN ALL EXPECT AROUND .10-.25 INCHES OF RAIN FOR THE VALLEY AND FOOTHILLS AND MAYBE 1-2 INCHES OF SNOW FOR THE MOUNTAINS ABOVE 4500'.
THE NEXT COLD FRONT COMES IN TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY. IT WILL ONCE AGAIN BE WEAK AND IT NOW LOOKS LIKE MOST OF THE RAIN FROM THAT STORM WILL STAY ALONG THE COAST AND IN THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS. A SLIGHT CHANCE OF A FEW SHOWERS WEDNESDAY EARLY MORNING AT THE NORTHERN END OF THE VALLEY.
BY NEXT WEEKEND IT NOW LOOKS POSSIBLE THAT A STRONGER STORM WILL MOVE IN. BUT THE TIMING AND STRENGTH OF THAT SYSTEM IS STILL UNCERTAIN AND WE WILL KEEP WATCHING IT!
MEANWHILE LOOK FOR SEASONABLE TEMPERATURES THIS WEEK WITH HIGHS MOSTLY IN THE 50'S IN THE VALLEY AS WELL AS A POSSIBILITY OF NIGHT AND MORNING VALLEY FOG AT TIMES.
