REDDING, Calif. - The city of Redding is undergoing a variety of construction projects.
There are currently five main projects underway in the city including restaurants, retail spaces and apartment complexes.
See below for a map of the construction projects and a breakdown of their progress.
S. Bonneyview Interchange - S. Bonneyview Road and I-5, Redding
The project includes the following restaurants and establishments:
- In-n-out
- Panda Express
- The new Win-River Casino & Resort
- A potential location for a Costco
The construction for the In-n-Out just broke ground is expected to open in the Fall of 2019.
The Win-River Casino Resort just announced its expansion plans which include a 69,500 square foot casino, a 250-room hotel and an outdoor amphitheater.
The potential building of a Costco is still in the planning phase and is facing opposition.
Panda Express is fully constructed and opened its doors this year.
Mount Shasta Mall - 900 Dana Dr., Redding
The project includes the following restaurants and establishments:
- Home Goods
- Sprouts
- Rumors of a potential Chick-fil-A restaurant
The project has been in the works for about one year, with the first section nearing completion. The Home Goods and Sprouts stores are expected to be open by the end of the year. There is no update on whether a potential Chick-fil-A restaurant will also be included in the plans.
Placer Heights Development - 1701 Pine St., Redding
When completed, the project will be a 3-story mixed-use apartment complex and retail space.
The foundation and the first floor are complete. However, there is not an estimated date of completion.

Old Dickers Department Store Project - 1551 Market St., Redding
When completed, the project will be a 3-story mixed-use apartment complex and retail space.
The foundation for the project has been laid and work is continuing, however, there is not an estimated date of completion.

Redding Court House - 1500 Court St., Redding
A new courthouse will be built for the city of Redding.
Contractors have broken ground on the project and work is expected to be finished by Summer of 2021.
