SHINGLETOWN, Calif. – Cal Fire will be conducting a prescribed burn on Friday, Dec. 11, north of Shingletown.
The prescribed burn will be conducted on up to 275 acres off Ponderosa Way. Residents should expect to see smoke during the burn operations and two to three days after, said Cal Fire. Shingletown, Whitmore, and Millville communities can expect to see smoke.
The burn will be conducted weather permitting. It will start at 8 a.m. and should be completed by 5 p.m. Crews will remain at the scene for the next few days, following the burn operation, as interior fuel consumption and mop up are completed. It is expected that smoke will continue to be visible during this time.
