PORTOLA, Calif. - The Plumas County Sheriff's Office investigated a report of an armed robbery at a business on West Sierra Avenue in the City of Portola on Sunday morning.
There were two suspects involved.
The first suspect went into the business and exposed a dark colored handgun with brown grips and demanded money.
The robber fled east on Highway 70 in a two-tone four-door sedan that was dark gray or black with silver. It had gray rims and a spoiler on the back. Deputies said a red spot can be seen over the passenger side front fender. There also was a large sticker behind the passenger side rear door. (See photos in gallery)
The 2nd suspect did not have a good description, but was seen at the vehicle while it was near the business.
The suspect who had the gun is described as a white male adult in his late 40's to early 50's. He is approximately 5'5" tall. He has a thin build, white and black facial hair (mainly white) and has a large gap between his front top teeth. He was last seen wearing a black beanie with a thigh length brown/khaki jacket over a gray/black shirt that has a large white logo on the front. He was wearing white garden type gloves with white plastic dots. He was wearing dark jeans and dark shoes. (See photos in gallery)
Deputies say no one was hurt during the robbery.
