REDDING, Calif. – With five states too close to call, people across the country and here at home are on edge and the President’s claims of fraud aren’t helping.

Charley Turner, a political science professor at Chico State University, says there’s a distinct difference between the candidates' message to the people.

“I think what you saw from Joe Biden's statement was reflective of just that,” said Turner.

“[Biden] said [they’re] really optimistic, that kind of language. Trump's was a little more decisive.”
Turner also says it's inappropriate for the president to declare victory when there isn't a clear winner just yet. But some people disagree saying the President is a bold person.

“He's more of an outgoing personality than I am and he would do that, where I'm more laid back and I would just wait for the outcome,” said Allen Duschka from Carson City.

Turner adds a person can challenge the electoral system, to make sure that the voting process is fair and is in line with state law.

But a lot of people tell Action News Now they still support President Trump but believes he needs to tone down what he says on social media.
