Police investigating shots fired in Chico

Investigators are working to learn more after someone fired shots into a building Sunday night in Chico.

CHICO, Calif. – Investigators are working to learn more after someone fired shots into a building Sunday night in Chico.

Police said it happened just before 8 p.m. at the intersection of Oak St. and W. 5th St. The reporting party discovered that a single round struck a nearby apartment complex and entered an attached garage area, according to Chico Police.

Officers arrived on the scene and located the damaged area. Chico Police said they also discovered additional evidence of a shooting during a neighborhood canvas.

At this time, police said no gunshot victims have been located or identified. There were no injuries reported.
