PARADISE, Calif. – A single-vehicle crash is under investigation in Paradise.

Officers arrived at the scene to find the driver, 21-year-old Jaden Hughs, of Magalia, trapped inside his car. Officers said Hughes had been traveling northbound on Skyway, drove off the road for unknown reasons, and hit a tree stump before overturning.

Cal Fire helped to free Hughes from his vehicle and he was then taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

At this time, the cause of the collision is still under investigation, however, drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors. If you witnessed this collision, or have further information, please contact the Paradise Police Department at 530-872-6241.
