Oroville Police investigating truck fire

The Oroville Police Department is investigating a truck fire that occured on Lincoln and Stafford Streets on Thursday.

OROVILLE, Calif- On September 12, 2019, at approximately 1:30 a.m., Oroville Fire Department was dispatched to the area of Lincoln St. & Safford St., in Oroville, regarding a reported vehicle fire. Oroville Fire Department quickly responded and extinguished the fire.

Witnesses contacted in the area reported seeing a male subject inside the vehicle, a 2014 Chevrolet truck, prior to the fire. Officers from the Oroville Police Department responded to the scene and attempted to locate the male subject observed by witnesses, but were unsuccessful in doing so. Witnesses have described the subject as a white male, slender build, between 5’9” and 6’00” tall.
