CHICO, Calif. - Chico police made an arrest for "racially motivated vandalism."

Police say Thomas Bona hit passing cars at East Avenue and Tom Polk way at around 9 a.m. today.

The racially-charged statements that Polk made toward the victim are why officers are investigating this as a hate crime.

Police say Bona is also suspected in other racially motivated vandalism crimes around Chico.
