Police arrest suspect linked to burglary in south Chico

Tuesday December 5th Chico Police were notified of a burglary that took place at a home in south Chico.

Tuesday December 5th Chico Police was notified of a burglary that took place at a home in south Chico.

The homeowner reported that around 6 p.m. a man entered their garage and stole a bicycle from inside.

The value of the bike was estimated around $3,000.

The homeowner gave a description of the bike to the police officers.

In an unrelated incident on Wednesday December 6th Chico Police Officers were near the Raley’s supermarket conducting a search when they located Vincent Abbott.

Abbott is a 32 year old homeless man who was found to be in possession of the stolen bike.

Officers arrested Abbott for several outstanding warrants as well as possession of stolen property.

Abbott admitted to entering the victim’s garage and stealing the bike.
