Police arrest felon at Taco Bell drive-thru who had loaded gun and meth

Chico police arrested two people after locating a stolen vehicle at a Taco Bell on Thursday evening.

CHICO, Calif. - Chico police arrested two people after locating a stolen vehicle, drugs, and a loaded gun at a Taco Bell on Thursday evening.

It happened when police were conducting a traffic stop near the intersection of Pillsbury Road and East Ave. around 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.

The vehicle pulled into a Taco Bell drive-thru, officers learned the vehicle had been reported stolen. Assisting officers responded to the area and boxed the driver in. Officers said they ordered the two occupants out of the vehicle.

Officers said they found meth and a loaded rifle inside the vehicle.

The driver, 33-year-old Joseph Baker is a convicted felon and could not possess a rifle. The passenger, Brittney Bell was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Both were booked into the Butte County Jail.
