PARADISE, Calif. – K-9 Titan assisted Paradise Police officers with the arrest of a Paradise couple Wednesday afternoon.
Officers initiated a traffic stop on Tara Lane Wednesday, Aug. 12 around 3:44 p.m. after noticing a vehicle had an expired registration from 2019.


Paradise residents, Wayne Bass and Samantha Bass were located inside the vehicle. Officers learned they also both had suspended California driver licenses.
During the investigation, another officer brought in K-9 Titan to conduct an air sniff around the vehicle. Officers said K-9 Titan alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from a bag belonging to Samantha.
Inside the bag was a box containing 3.1 grams of meth, 2 glass meth smoking pipes, and other assorted narcotics paraphernalia, according to police. Officers also located more meth that was in Wayne’s possession.
Samantha and Wayne were placed under arrest and booked into the Butte County Jail.
