Police arrest Chico State sorority house burglary suspect

Police have arrested a man in connection to the burglary at a Chico State sorority house on Sept. 8.

CHICO, Calif. - Police have arrested a man in connection to a burglary at a Chico State sorority house on Sept. 8, according to the California State University, Chico Police Department.

36-year-old Adolfo Rivera Jr. was arrested Tuesday night around 7 p.m. and was booked into the Butte County Jail.

On Sept. 8 around 9:30 p.m., police responded to 325 Chestnut St. in Chico for a burglary that was in progress.

The reporting party said a man entered the home unlawfully but by the time police arrived at the scene the suspect had already left.

University police were able to look at surveillance video and later identified the suspect as Rivera Jr.
