REDDING, Calif. – Redding Police announced three men now facing charges after they began firing shots into a river while drunk.
Officers said around 12:12 a.m. Wednesday they responded to reports of possible gunshots in the area of North Market Street and another from Continental Street.
Three men were quickly located walking in the area. They were interviewed by officers and identified as Max Killingworth, Keith Staudinger, and Nickolas Nowling. Officers said one man told them that they were walking home from a bar to avoid a DUI, and decided to fire their guns into the river.
Two of the men were carrying concealed pistols and the third was carrying drugs. Officers arrested all three men and learned Nickolas Nowling had a felony warrant out of Napa County.
