Police Still Searching for Armed Robbery Suspects

Chico police are still searching for the person or persons they say robbed two Chico businesses within 24 hours.

CHICO, Calif. - Chico police are still searching for the person or persons they say robbed two Chico businesses within 24 hours during the New Year holiday. 

The first robbery happened on New Year's Eve at the East Avenue Liquor. 

The store owner said he was closing up his shop around 11:45 p.m. when a white man in his 40s entered the store with a handgun and demanded money. The store owner said he gave the man a little more than $1,000 in cash.  Surveillance video shows that the man had on a blue hoodie and bandana covering his face. 

The second robbery happened on New Year's Day at All The Best Video on Cohasset Rd. 

Chico police would not say whether the two crimes are related and whether they are looking for one or multiple suspects.
