MARYSVILLE, Calif. – A man was arrested Thursday after attempting to murder his fiancée, according to the Marysville Police Department.
After officers received a report of a stabbing, they arrived on the scene to the 2300 block of Cheim Blvd. at 7:45 p.m. and located a female victim with a stab wound to her neck, police said.
The female had gotten into an altercation with her fiancé, 53-year-old Stephen George from Marysville. During the altercation, George stabbed the female in the neck with a kitchen knife, police said.
The female was able to escape and went to a neighbor’s house.
Officers arrested George for attempted murder, domestic violence, and kidnapping, according to police. He was booked into the Yuba County Jail.
