REDDING, Calif. – Redding police arrested a man for breaking into a woman’s home, by crawling through her dog door.
Police said 41-year-old William Robinson, of Redding, is accused of burglary, prowling and resisting arrest. Robinson made unwanted advances toward the woman when he repaired her air conditioner about a month ago, according to the police. He also obtained the victim's phone number, by unknown means, and proceeded to call and text her numerous times before breaking into her home.
The woman told officers she was scared when Robinson confronted her in the kitchen, as she ordered him out of her home and threatened to call the police, he fled in a white-colored sedan.
Robinson was located at the Arco AM/PM gas station at 2010 Churn Creek Rd, in Redding. During the investigation, officers said he admitted to responding to the victims home to make contact with her.
The victim was unharmed. Redding police said they are continuing to investigate Robinson for the violation of stalking the Victim, and may pursue those charges at a later date. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact the Redding Police Department at 530-225-4200.
