OROVILLE, Calif. - One man was arrested after Oroville Police say K-9 "Raja" alerted them to heroin in the suspect's car.

Officials say on April 10, the department's Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Team conducted a traffic stop on a 2014 Dodge Charger on Orange Avenue.

As officers were beginning to issue 21-year-old Keith Sellars a citation, officials say K-9 "Raja" alerted them to the smell of narcotics.

A search of the Dodge led officers to find about ½ ounce of heroin, a digital gram scale, miscellaneous narcotics packaging material, a firearm and approximately $600.

Sellars was arrested and booked into the Butte County Jail for possession/transportation of controlled substances for sale and being armed with a firearm during the commission of a felony. His bail is set at $75,000.
