CHESTER, Calif. – A Plumas County man was arrested Thursday evening after a man showed up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.

Plumas County Sheriff’s deputies said they received several reports of gunshots heard around 11:50 p.m. near the 100 block of Brentwood Drive in Chester.

The individual who reported the incident told the dispatch center that there was a vehicle with five suspects outside the home threatening to kill her.

Shortly after, Seneca Hospital staff told the sheriff’s office there was a man in the emergency room with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an out-of-county hospital for treatment.
