RED BLUFF, Calif. — Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) customers in the Los Molinos and Vina areas will lose power late Wednesday night.
The utility company said this is so PG&E can safely perform maintenance.
PG&E’s contractor will be replacing a pole on Buena Vista Avenue in Los Molinos. PG&E said in order to do this safely it needs to de-energize a 60,000-volt transmission power line that serves the Los Molinos substation.
PG&E said it has worked with the County of Tehama, City of Tehama, and emergency agencies to ensure they are prepared.
The outage is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. Wednesday and last as long as until 5 a.m. Thursday. The outage will impact 2,341 homes and businesses.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this outage may cause and have worked hard to keep the outage duration as short as possible so contract crews can safely complete this work,” said Carl Schoenhofer, senior manager of PG&E’s North Valley Division
