Pioneer Days Parade takes place in downtown Chico for 102 years

Downtown Chico has been busy with the Pioneer Days parade and associated activities. There is music and a barbecue taking place for the Pioneer Days event as well.

CHICO, Calif. - The Pioneer Day Parade in downtown Chico is an event that has taken place for 102 years.

Downtown Chico is busy with parade participants and enthusiasts. There is also music and a barbecue taking place for the Pioneer Days event.

Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea kicked off the 2019 Pioneer Days Parade as the Grand Marshall.

The parade started at 9:00 a.m.

Action News Now anchors Cecile Juliette and Linda Watkins-Bennett were in the parade. Anchor Debbie Cobb is the parade emcee.
