OLIVEHURST, Calif. - A robbery occurred at the Rite-Aid Pharmacy located in the 5000 block of Olivehurst, on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
According to the Yuba County Sheriff's Department, the incident occurred around 6:35 p.m., Rite-Aid employees reported two black males, one described as a possible teenager, jumped the pharmacy counter and stole prescription medication, before running off into an unknown vehicle.
Police said that it was reported that no weapons were seen and nobody was injured.
Deputies on patrol in south Yuba County immediately responded to the area within one minute of the 911 call, deputies said. They then worked a perimeter around Olivehurst and the southbound Highway 70 Corridor leading out of the county. Throughout the investigation, deputies said they it was indicated that the suspects' vehicle was heading south toward Sacramento.
Despite multiple patrol units attempting to find the fleeing vehicle, the suspects were not located. Deputies said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
