PARADISE, Calif. - The Paradise Town Council voted 4-to-1 to extend obtaining a rebuilding permit to Sept. 30, 2021, in order for residents to secure a temporary use permit to reside in an RV on their property.

The vote extends the date to obtain a permit by three months, which was originally set for June 30, 2021.

“I want to see what is happening over the next 4 or 5 months and if we haven't updated it at that point to extend it if we need to, we can talk at that point,” Councilmember Greg Bolin said.

The council previously held a vote to extend the date to Dec. 31, 2021, but the council voted against the date.

“And because I don’t want to see it end June 30 I’m going to vote I still would rather see December but I will vote I,” Paradise Mayor Steve Crowder said while voting for the motion to extend the date to Sept. 30.
