Action News Now spoke to Mayor Greg Bolin about his vision for the future of Paradise. Bolin told Action News Now that the tree removal program will be a big project for the town in 2020.

“This year will be a big year, the tree removal, building the town back, there’s a lot of houses going up," Bolin said. "You can’t go anywhere in town without seeing sticks going in the air and a house going up.”

Bolin added that this year is going to be a rebuilding year for those on the Ridge.

According to Bolin, The main issue is people getting people signed up for the tree removal program.

Bolin said that experts tell them that if the trees are at a point that they are damaged, or will die in a few years, it adds more fuel up to the area.

“We have to get them out of the town, or else we’re are going to have ourselves in a position where we’re exposed again, Bolin said.
