PARADISE, Calif. - The Paradise Symphony Orchestra presents its first concert of the season "Our" New World on Sunday, November 3rd at 7:00 p.m. at the Paradise Performing Arts Center.
The concert kicks off a week of remembrance in Paradise and surrounding communities of the November 8th Camp Fire of last year.
The performance will begin with Aaron Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man.” It will also feature Alexander Borodin's “Polovetsian Dances”. The first part of that piece of music has been turned the song "Stranger in Paradise." Richard Rodgers' epic “Victory at Sea”, and "Song for a Glorious Day" by Symphony member Trevor Lloyd are included in the program as well.
The finale will be Anton Dvorak’s “New World Symphony”, as Camp Fire survivors work to build "Our" New World.
