Frequently Asked Questions

Question: How many of the building permits are for manufactured homes?

Answer: Out of the 279 permit applications received, 64 have been for manufactured homes.

Question: Which markings do TOP right of way trees have that will be removed? Just so owners know which will be taken care of and which are our responsibility?

Answer: The Town of Paradise hired arborists to identify trees in the public right of way that need to be removed. During that process, 3,900 trees were identified and marked with a “T”. Those trees will be removed in the next several months by contractors hired by the Town.

Question: I want to rebuild, but I’m waiting on water. What is the status on water?

Answer: Paradise Irrigation District is working hard to lift the advisory on standing homes and on properties that have building permits issued. That means, you can apply for your building permit and the Town will notify PID to begin testing and clearing the main and service line to your property. That way, by the time a new home is ready to occupy, it will have clean potable water provided by PID. So far, PID has lifted the advisory on 200 properties.

Cloudy skies and very light scattered showers are lingering across northern California for the start of your Wednesday, but we'll be clearing out and warming up Wednesday afternoon. We'll be sunny and warmer on Thursday, but clouds will increase Friday. More showers are looking likely Friday night into Saturday, but we'll dry out again for Halloween on Sunday.
