Paradise Police discover stolen keys for Camp Fire clean-up equipment

A man who was arrested in Paradise on Friday for possession of drug paraphernalia was also found with a key ring containing several keys that were compatible with construction equipment used in the area for Camp Fire clean-up.

PARADISE, Calif - A man who was arrested in Paradise on Friday for possession of drug paraphernalia was also found with a key ring containing several keys that were compatible with construction equipment used in the area for Camp Fire clean-up.

Just after midnight Friday morning, Officers stopped Joshua Ewton after the license plate on the pick-up he was driving was partially obstructed by a trailer hitch.

Officers found Ewton's license was suspended as well as the license plate on the truck had been stolen off of what further investigation revealed to be a vehicle in Magalia that had been burned in the Camp Fire.

During a search of the truck and Ewton, narcotics paraphernalia, burglary tools as well as a key ring with several Caterpillar keys were found.

Ewton was arrested on charges of false display of a license plate, possession of stolen property and of burglary tools, possession of narcotics paraphernalia as well as driving on a suspended license.
