Paradise Police arrest 2 people for drug possession, false name

Paradise Police arrested two adults on Saturday afternoon after spotting them in a parked car with drugs and needles, police said.

CHICO, Calif. – Paradise Police arrested two people on Saturday afternoon after spotting them in a parked car with narcotics.

Officers were on patrol and spotted the car in a vacant lot at approximately 2 p.m. on the 4900 block of Pentz Road, according to police.

The two suspects were identified as 29-year-old Kyle Mokler and 30-year-old Adele Winnemucca.

Police said Winnemucca provided them with a false name, additional officers came and recognized her from previous contacts.

According to police records, Winnemucca had a felony warrant out for her arrest. She was taken into custody for the felony warrant and providing a false name to a Police Officer.

Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and found Mokler was in possession of narcotics, multiple needles, and a meth smoking pipe.

Mokler told officers he got the needles from the needle exchange program in Chico, according to police.

Mokler was taken into custody for possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation.

Aside from the haze and smoke, we've had beautiful weather in northern California today, and it will be just as nice tomorrow. A storm is coming our way, however, and we'll have very unsettled weather this weekend.
