Paradise Middle School Students Reunite with Friends Since Start of Camp Fire

Dozens of middle school students from Paradise got a chance to see their friends for the first time since the Camp Fire exploded in northeastern Butte County, by playing some basketball.

CHICO, Calif. - Dozens of middle school students from Paradise got a chance to see their friends for the first time since the Camp Fire exploded in northeastern Butte County, by playing some basketball.

On Sunday a call was made on Facebook telling students and parents that there will be a gathering at Field House in 20th Street Park in Chico. 

Action News Now spoke to some students about the fun event and some say they were grateful to see their friends and that they were alright after the fire destroyed thousands of homes.

Paradise High School students will also have a chance to meet friends it will be at Pleasant Valley High School on Tuesday at noon until 5 p.m.

Dry conditions, warmer temperatures, and gusty north winds will drive high fire danger and a Red Flag Warning across most of northern California Monday. Winds will diminish and temperatures will warm up on Tuesday. We'll stay dry and heat up later this week. Cooler temperatures then return for your weekend.
