PARADISE, Calif. - Paradise High School is getting a new principal. The current principal Jeff Marcus is leaving his post but not because of the Camp Fire.

He came out of retirement to help re-open the school in August. However, now he is forced to leave due to a rule in the California state teacher's retirement system that caps how much a retired teacher can work.

The district is now hiring Mike Ervin as the new principal, he will take over starting Oct. 14.

Windy with high fire danger today. Winds calm down tomorrow with mild temperatures and sunny skies all week. By next we cool down and even have the chance for rain.
