PARADISE, Calif. - The Paradise Animal Shelter is running low on supplies and there are still a handful of animals that need adopting.

Shelter Supervisor Jen Robbins said they need wet, canned food for both cats and dogs. So, they are reaching out to the public for donations.

"We treat all the animals here like they're our own babies," Robbins said. "So for the dogs, we like to mix wet food with warm water -potable water- and kind of spoil it [and] make like you would your pet at home. And [for] cats, like we like to give it as a treat alongside their wet food."

Robbins said the shelter still has animals from the Camp Fire that need adopting as well.

There are six cats, two litters of kittens and 12 dogs left that need a home.
