REDDING, Calif. — Power will be out in Lakehead starting late Saturday night, according to Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). The company said the outage is so crews can safely perform maintenance on substation equipment.
PG&E crews will perform maintenance inside the Antler Substation. To do the work safely, PG&E said it needs to de-energize the substation.
PG&E said it has worked with the County of Shasta and emergency agencies to ensure they are aware of the outage and have made any needed preparation.
The outage is scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. Saturday and last until 7 a.m. Sunday. The outage will impact 956 homes and businesses, PG&E said.
