PG&E outage affecting several areas in Butte County

Oroville, Chico, and Bangor are all impacted by power outages. Here is the latest information

UPDATE: 12:37 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2020 - A PG&E power outage is affecting 1,408 customers in Bangor. There is currently no estimated restoration time. PG&E is investigating the cause. The outage occurred at 5:51 a.m. Monday.

537 customers near Cohasset are also out of power due to a downed power line. PG&E said it's estimated restoration for this outage is 2 p.m.

In Oroville, 2,200 customers are without power. PG&E is predicting power to be restored to customers around 5 p.m. The cause for this outage is also unknown at this time.

CHICO, Calif. - A PG&E power outage is affecting 1,414 customers south of Chico River Road and west of Highway 99 in Butte County.

The outage started around 8:06 a.m.

The cause remains unknown and a crew has been assigned to address the outage, the utility said.

It took a few hours, but the sun broke through the clouds over most of northern California Tuesday afternoon. The low clouds, fog and light rain showers return to the valley Wednesday, with snowy weather in the mountains.
