SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) has chosen a new CEO. The electric utility selected Patti Poppe to be its new CEO.
She is currently serving as the President and CEO of Consumers Energy a Michigan-based electric utility.
In a press release, Poppe said she is honored by the appointment. "As California's largest utility, PG&E has the privilege of powering one of the world's largest economies and the opportunity to help lead the state's clean energy future."
Poppe takes over as PG&E CEO on January 4 of 2021. She will take over from Interim CEO Bill Smith.
