REDDING, Calif. - Deana Contreras, public information officer for PG&E, spoke with Action News Now reporter Laura Eng about the electrical outages in wake of the Carr Fire.
Contreras noted that 3,900 PG&E customers are without power, however, this number may be much higher as this does not include the city of Redding because PG&E does not service Redding.
Over 500 PG&E employees from all over California have been working around the clock to restore power and fix areas with damaged PG&E equipment, which Contreras said was 870 locations.
Right now they are in the assessment stage, where they are assessing areas that have been affected by the fire and finding ways to make them safer.
