BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - PG&E is beginning to turn the power back on for thousands of customers here in the North State impacted by the blackouts.

PG&E reported that the utility issued weather "all clear" for all counties within its service area that were impacted by Wednesday's blackout.

PG&E says it cut power to more than 50,000 customers Wednesday in 11 counties.

And that included Butte, Glenn, Shasta, Tehama, and Yuba counties.

6,800 people received alerts Wednesday afternoon saying they were removed from the blackout, according to PG&E.

PG&E says that the number is in addition to the 83,000 customers removed from the blackout earlier Wednesday.

Action News Now did have a viewer from Paradise message us Wednesday on Facebook saying the blackout was canceled in her area.

PG&E said they expect all customers to be restored by Thursday night or sooner, pending damages found on the system. The utility added that as of 6:00 a.m. Thursday, approximately 10,000 customers had been restored.

Sunday was a bright and toasty day for northern California, with the warmest highs we've experienced since October 2020, with valley highs in the upper 80s and 90s. Monday will be slightly cooler.
