UPDATE 7:07 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021 - Power has been restored according to the PG&E map.
The cause of the outage is still unknown.
UPDATE 5:34 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021 - An additional 1,802 people have lost power. Most of those new outages are in the Gas Point and Happy Valley areas.
The utility is still working to determine the cause of the outage and restore power to all customers affected.
SHASTA/TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. - PG&E is investigating an outage that has left more than 4,000 people in Cottonwood, Lake California and Hooker without power Tuesday evening.
According to the utility, the outage started around 2:58 p.m. on Tuesday.
There are currently 4,484 customers affected in the area.
