OROVILLE, Calif. – An Oroville woman was arrested in connection to a burglary in Oroville, Thermalito, and a stolen motorcycle out of Chico, according to the Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO).
On Dec. 13, Deputies responded to a residential burglary in the area of La Mirada Avenue and Orchard Hill Drive in Oroville. The homeowner said she left the residence for three hours during the afternoon and returned to find the residence in a mess. The homeowner also noticed her truck was now missing. The led to a total loss of several thousands of dollars, according to BCSO.
Deputies also located 24-year-old Clara Dickinson. Deputies said she had felony warrants for her arrest and was booked into the Butte County Jail and faces charges of possession of stolen property over $950, possession of a stolen vehicle, and providing false identification to a Peace Officer.
Deputies placed a BOLO for the homeowner’s stolen truck, which included a photograph of the truck to allied law enforcement agencies. On Dec. 14, authorities said the truck was located abandoned in the south Oroville area.
On Dec. 16, authorities served a search warrant in the 900 block of Plumas Ave in Oroville. They located 29-year-old Tiffany Paul, of Oroville, living at the residence.
She was found in possession of multiple items taken during the burglary on December 13, as well as items taken during a residential burglary that occurred in September in the Thermalito area, according to BCSO. A motorcycle that was reported stolen out of Chico was also located.
Paul was out of custody from a previous Butte County Superior Court case for possession of a stolen vehicle, among other various charges, said BCSO in a news release.
Paul was arrested and booked into the Butte County Jail. Deputies say she faces charges of possession of stolen property over $950, possession of a stolen vehicle, and committing a felony while released on her own recognizance. Her bail was set at $65,000.
During the search warrant, deputies also located 24-year-old Clara Dickinson, of Oroville. Deputies also announced they are currently looking for 40-year-old Jason L. Powell, of Oroville. According to BCSO, Powell has felony warrants for his arrest.
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to call into the non-emergency phone line, 530-538-7322, if they have information regarding the whereabouts of Jason or information about the residential burglary, case #20-7627.
