Oroville police searching for suspect in armed robbery

The South Side Mini Mart in Oroville was the location of an armed robbery Saturday morning. Police are searching for the suspect.

OROVILLE, Calif. - Saturday morning at 8:40 a.m., the Oroville Police Department received a report of an armed robbery that occurred at the South Side Mini Mart in the 3100 block of Myers St.

The store clerk reported that an unknown male suspect entered the store and brandished a handgun and demanded money.

The owner described the suspect as a white male with facial hair who was wearing a camouflage jacket with grey sweatpants.

Witnesses on scene reported that the suspect fled the scene in a VW Jetta that was made in the 2000's. It is reported to be black in color with some oxidized paint.
