OROVILLE, Calif. - Oroville Police arrested a man for arson after allegedly setting fire to the home where he lived.
Police say multiple neighbors called 911 about a structure fire in the area of Robinson Street and 4th Street in Oroville at around 9 p.m. on Sept. 9. Oroville Fire personnel arrived at the home to find a fire burning in the living room. Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to any neighboring homes.
Investigators say they determined a resident inside the home, Daniel Vaughn, 21, was the suspect. Vaughn was arrested for arson. He is now behind bars at the Butte County Jail. His bail is set at $250,000.
