OROVILLE, Calif. – An Oroville man was arrested after deputies said he discharged a firearm inside a home during a domestic dispute.
Butte County deputies responded to a trespassing call in July on Galaxy Way in Oroville. While following up on the incident, evidence led to 43-year-old Brandon Dixon, showing he had discharged a gun inside a home during a domestic dispute, according to BCSO.
On July 13, BCSO said they obtained an arrest warrant for him. Detectives located Dixon at a car wash on South 5th Avenue, where he was placed under arrest. During a search of his vehicle, detectives said they located 1.5 ounces of meth, one ounce of heroin, and evidence of narcotics sales.
Dixon is scheduled to be arraigned at the Butte County Superior Court on Thursday, July 16. Based on the fact Dixon violated his post release community supervision terms, he is not eligible for bail until he attends future court proceedings, according to BCSO.
