Oroville family escapes house fire

A family of five escaped a house fire in Oroville early Friday morning.

OROVILLE, Calif. - A family of five escaped a house fire in Oroville early Friday morning.

Oroville Fire Department responded to a house fire at 2000 block of Fort Wayne Street, Oroville around 1 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4.

Five people were living in the house, two adults and three kids. All the people made it out safely except the puppy living with the family.

Neighbors said this is the third time this house has caught on fire within the last five years.

Oroville Fire Batallion Chief, Isaac Ruiz says while the circumstances surrounding the fire are suspicious, the cause is still under investigation.
