OROVILLE, Calif. - Flavored tobacco could soon be a thing of the past in Oroville.

On Tuesday, the city council voted to move forward with the ban of flavored tobacco products in city limits, saying that tobacco advertisers are targeting kids under the age of 18.

The ban, which could go into effect as early as January 2020, would also apply to all vaping products, such as the juices and the actual vaping pens.

The ban is up for discussion at the next Oroville planning commission meeting. You can comment on it in the next hearing on October 24th.
