Oroville Salmon Festival 25th anniversary set for Sept. 28

Sept. 28, will be the 25th anniversary for the Oroville Salmon Festival. Salmon Festival organizer Ray Laager visited the Action News Now studio to talk about the upcoming festival.

OROVILLE, Calif. -  The 25th anniversary for the Oroville Salmon Festival is coming up. Salmon Festival organizer Ray Laager visited the Action News Now studio to talk about the upcoming festival.

Free admission, parking, and shuttles will be available to the public, people can expect lots of salmon and continuous music.

Friday, Sept. 27, will kick off with the Feather River Nature Center Dinner & Dance, from 6 to 9 p.m. on the levee at Salmon Court.

The Salmon Festival will kick off with fish hatchery tours Saturday at 9 a.m. The fish hatchery will include salmon viewing, pancake breakfast, rafting tours, Kayak float, and more.

Following after will be the Oroville Hospital 3K Salmon Color Run. The race will start at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28. Pre-Registration must be completed by Sept. 13 to guarantee a T-shirt.

New this year is the Oroville Adventure Summit, a fly fishing expo, casting pond, climbing walls, camping exhibit, and more will be available.
