OROVILLE, Calif. - The Oroville Rescue Mission will be hosting its 26th annual Community Christmas Dinner on Christmas Eve.
They will be serving a turkey dinner with all the trimmings, including dessert. On top of a meal, there will be a toy giveaway for children and Santa in attendance.

"It's an amazing event that brings in all aspects of our community who wish to have an outstanding meal and fellowship with other community members," Program Director, Edward Pochay said.
The toy giveaway, for some, is how their children will receive gifts for the holiday, Pochay said. The El Dorado Hills Firefighters recently donated a truckload of toys for the event, a picture of them is attached above.
However, the Oroville Rescue Mission is still in need of toys for both boys and girls between the ages of 10 to 12.
If you would like to donate toys, people can deliver them to the Bird Street Thrift, at 2130 Bird Street in Oroville on Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The community dinner is free to the public and will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Oroville Municipal Auditorium.
