Oroville Police seeking witnesses in deadly motorcycle crash

Oroville Police are seeking witnesses to a deadly motorcycle collision that happened Tuesday evening.

OROVILLE, Calif. – Oroville Police are seeking witnesses to a deadly motorcycle collision that happened Tuesday evening.

Around 6:30 p.m., Oroville PD and fire crews responded to the area of Table Mountain Blvd. and Riverview Terrace due to a single-vehicle motorcycle collision. The driver was located near the collision and officials performed life-saving measures. However, the driver was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Further investigation revealed that the driver was traveling north on Table Mountain Blvd. and for an unknown reason, left the roadway and collided with a guard rail just north of Riverview Terrace, according to the police.

There we no passengers, the identity of the driver is being withheld, pending notification next-of-kin. Police said alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision at this time.

Oroville Police say they are now asking for assistance from the public. There were no witnesses contacted at the scene and the Oroville Police Department is asking anyone that may have witnessed this collision, to please contact Oroville Police Officer Khan at 530-538-2448.
