OROVILLE, Calif. - The Oroville Police Department shared its officers arrested two men after they shot into a home with a stolen handgun on June 11.
Officials shared they were called on Thursday just before 11 a.m. about a man standing in the street, in the area of Roseben Avenue and D Street, shooting at a home. Callers gave a description and officers say they determined the suspect left in a maroon-colored SUV.
While on the scene and looking for the suspect, officers were told the reported SUV had been pulled over on Columbia Avenue. The driver, Billy Phianemanh, and the passenger, Garrett Berry, were both detained.
Through further investigation, officials say they learned 24-year-old Phianemanh and 24-year-old Berry were both at the Roseben Avenue scene when Berry reportedly fired shots at a home.
During a search of the vehicle, Oroville Police say they found a semi-automatic handgun that had been reported stolen.
Berry was booked into the Butte County Jail on charges of shooting into an inhabited home, possession of a gun by a convicted felon and possession of ammunition by a prohibited person. Phianemanh was booked into the jail for conspiracy.
No one was hurt inside the home.
