OROVILLE, Calif. - Officer Thompson from CHP Oroville says that they are looking for a man who fled on foot during a traffic stop.

Thompson said he pulled over the man just before 9 a.m. on Sunday for failing to yield near East Grand Avenue and Antler Drive in Oroville.

When the man was out of the vehicle, Thompson said the man fled on foot.

Butte County Sheriff's Office and Oroville Police helped CHP look for him.

CHP's helicopter was also called out.

CHP says it does not have the man's name at this time.

It also does not believe that this man poses any threat to the public.

Once officers have this man in custody, he will be arrested for wreckless driving and felony evasion.

The last two days saw quite a bit of rain in Northern California. Today we could see more but the showers look to be more isolated today than in previous days. Highs today are expected to reach the upper 50s to lower 60s.
